강씨는 지난해 9월 서울 지하철 7호선 상봉역 승강장 인근 계단에서 어깨를 부딪혔다는 이유로 시비가 붙은?70대 피해자와 몸싸움을 벌이다 흉기로 찌른 혐의(특수상해)를 받는다. 피해자는 오른쪽 허벅지를 찔려 전치 4주의 상해를 입었다. 재판부는 "사람이 많이 왕래하는 지하철 통로에서 사소한 시비로 할아버지뻘인 피해자를 찔러 4주간의 중상을 입힌 이 사건의 범행 죄질이 매우 불량하고 죄책도 무겁다"고 양형 이유를 밝혔다. 다만 피고인이 범행을 인정하고 잘못을 뉘우치고 있는 점, 피해자와 합의한 점, 피해자가 일상생활에 지장이 없을 정도로 완치된 점 등은 유리한 정상으로 참작했다. 허 부장판사는 강씨에게 "2천만원이나 부모님이 마련해서 피해자와 합의했으니 효도하고 사회에 도움 되는 사람이 될 수 있도록 하라"고 충고했다.
